Movers and Groovers...

In Term 4, Years 1 and 2 have been learning about India. We have asked a number of Essential Questions, such as “How is India similar and different to Australia?”, “What religions are followed in India? Do they know and worship Jesus?” and “How and why do people celebrate in India?”

As we learned about a number of festivals, we were privileged to take part in a dance workshop.

The lovely dance teacher talked to us about some of the history of India. After learning a number of steps, we joined these together to take part in our own Indian dance. We had so much fun! At the end we were able to wear beautiful scarves to help us celebrate our dance.
