I began teaching at NCS in 2013, teaching Maths and Technology. I really enjoy sharing my love for both Maths and God with the students, and seeing them grow in both areas. I am also really into sport, happy to throw my hand up to try anything. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys, as well as helping out the youth group at NBC and being a local football (soccer) referee.

I consider it a real privilege to work at Nowra Christian School, amongst fellow Christians and to tell children about the Lord Jesus across the subject areas. I first taught at Dubbo Christian School for four years and then had four children (3 still attend NCS). I then taught casually and home-schooled for about 10 years before teaching at NCS more regularly in 2012.

I began teaching Science at NCS in 2011. As a Science teacher I really enjoy helping students to discover the amazing and complex world that God has created. I feel privileged to be a part of such a caring school community that helps to prepare young people to achieve their best and to live as God’s people in the world.
Mrs Rosie Ellery
I am thankful to have been a part of the vibrant NCS community since 2001. My husband and I have four boys who all attend the school. During my time at NCS I have been both a classroom and RFF teacher. Since 2009 I have specialised in the Creative and Performing Arts. I love the fact that I get to teach all the fun stuff! I now also teach Secondary Drama. I am also involved in co-curricular Creative Arts activities. I run the Primary drama club and work with secondary students in major productions and smaller group performances. I work with both the Primary and Infants choirs. I think it is very important for children and young people to be given the opportunity to grow in confidence through performance.

I started at NCS in 2007 after twenty years in the public education sector. I have a passion for working with young people to equip them in a practical sense for life in an increasingly secular society. I have a special interest in sport, music and the role that these can play in the broader education of our students.

As a teacher at NCS I enjoy the opportunity to share Christ's love and be a positive role model to others. I started teaching at NCS in 2005 and teach mainly Industrial Technology (Woodwork) and Design & Technology and I love helping students to develop their gifts and skills in these practical oriented subjects.

After having served 13 years in the Royal Australian Navy, I changed careers to teaching in Mathematics and Biblical Studies at Nowra Christian School in 2005. My desire as a staff member of the school is to see our students mature in their understanding of God’s world and His purposes for them in it. I'm thankful that Nowra Christian School is a genuine Christian community with Jesus Christ as the central focus of staff and students, and enjoy serving God in the exciting vocation of teaching.

I began my teaching career in 1988 as a Year 1 Teacher at Mamre Christian College. In 1992, I taught various Primary classes at Wellington Christian School until the birth of our daughters. On returning to work, I was given the opportunity to set up a literacy program for the school's indigenous students and serve as a Learning Support Teacher. My family (husband and two daughters) moved to Nowra in 2000. I began working as the Year 5-12 Learning Support Teacher at NCS in 2001. I love what I do and feel very privileged to be a part of this special school community.

I started to teach English at NCS in 2001. After graduating, I worked in the state system at Corowa High School.I resigned to study at Sydney Missionary and Bible College for one year and after that spent time at home caring for our two children. I enjoy teaching English and believe the skills learnt, especially those involving communication, are essential for student to develop. I consider it a privilege to teach in a Christian school. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to consider a Christian response to issues raised in the texts we study.

I grew up locally and enjoy living in the southern part of the Shoalhaven. I taught at NCS in 2012 and then again from 2015 after work at other schools in the Shoalhaven and Wollongong. I have always enjoyed the patterns and logic of mathematics and enjoy working with young people and seeing them learn new things. Sport and computers are other interests that see me interacting with children in and out of the classroom. Being involved in Christian education is a privilege as we seek to honour God in all we do.

After completing training at SMBC and the Summer Institute of Linguistics, my husband (Dave) and I went to Switzerland for a year, to learn French. We then spent 8 years in Burkina Faso, translating the Bible into Fulani and teaching literacy. On returning to Australia, I qualified as a French teacher. In 2016, I started at NCS. It is a wonderful privilege to learn other languages and to be able to communicate with people in their heart language, especially to be able to share the gospel with them. I am passionate about serving Jesus through French and Learning Support at NCS.
