I consider it a real privilege to work at Nowra Christian School, amongst fellow Christians and to tell children about the Lord Jesus across the subject areas. I first taught at Dubbo Christian School for four years and then had four children (3 still attend NCS). I then taught casually and home-schooled for about 10 years before teaching at NCS more regularly in 2012.

I commenced work at NCS in 1985. My main emphasis has been teaching Secondary PDHPE courses from Years 7 to 12 and more recently, Senior Community and Family Studies. In my role as a Co-ordinator, I have enjoyed the varied responsibilities and challenges it has bought. I have had to rely more on God's grace, strength and wisdom to deal with many different situations that come my way. I had a wonderful opportunity to teach at an overseas Missions School in India during 2004 and we were able to take a small group of students back to India on a Missions Awareness trip at the end of 2007.

I am thankful to have been a part of the vibrant NCS community since 2001. My husband and I have four boys who all attend the school. During my time at NCS I have been both a classroom and RFF teacher. Since 2009 I have specialised in the Creative and Performing Arts. I love the fact that I get to teach all the fun stuff! I now also teach Secondary Drama. I am also involved in co-curricular Creative Arts activities. I run the Primary drama club and work with secondary students in major productions and smaller group performances. I work with both the Primary and Infants choirs. I think it is very important for children and young people to be given the opportunity to grow in confidence through performance.
