NCS Cleans Up!

Last week, Secondary students put aside our regular Sport and Rec activities to undertake some community service in Worrigee Nature Reserve. We worked with Shoalhaven Landcare and National Parks and Wildlife to have our own Clean Up Worrigee Day. The afternoon was lots of fun with a range of activities. Students were encouraged by bushwalks with Mr Petts where they got to reflect on the wonder of God's creation, were challenged by tug of war with Mr Walker and, of course, picked up lots of rubbish! Marien Stark, the local Landcare Co-ordinator, was very impressed with the high spirits and sense of helpfulness of our students. The National Parks team also commented that they were very thankful that we had pitched in to clean up an important wild life refuge and make their job a lot easier. On behalf of the Secondary staff, congratulations to the students on a job well done!
