Jackson Trost - Headed Outward Bound

Outward Bound is a course designed for students, 16-18 years, who have the potential to develop into community leaders, and who will get maximum benefit from completing the course. It is run by Outward Bound Australia and is sponsored by the Lions Clubs of the local area.

The Navigator course is 12-day personal development experience for youth aged 15-17. The course is full of adventure, wilderness, new friends and fun!

Students will learn things about themselves that they would probably never learn in a classroom and share their adventure with other young adults in a close social group.

This year, the school was able to nominate three equally worthy students, who were required to complete a brief application form and then, last Tuesday, be interviewed by four representatives from the local Lions Club who came to the school to conduct these interviews. A decision is then made on which of the applicants will be given this amazing opportunity.

We are pleased to announce that Jackson Trost (Yr 10) is this year's successful Outward Bound applicant and we know that the experience will be of great benefit to him. Congratulations, Jackson.
