The MS Readathon is Australia’s longest-running and most respected reading-based fundraiser. In past years, NCS has raised much needed funds to help support Australians living with multiple sclerosis. This month we invite you to register your child/children and encourage them to read as many books as possible. Students can ask friends and family to donate or sponsor them while encouraging their love of reading and helping others. This year there’s a brand new interactive website that lets kids write book reviews and rate their favourite reads. They can even use the MS Readathon as an exciting way to finish off the Premier’s Reading Challenge. Students can be registered for the MS Readathon by following these simple steps:
How to register 1. Register your child/children – Log on to https://www.msreadathon.org.au/fundraisers/nowrachristianschool
2. Encourage your child/children to read during the month of August – Remind your child/children to write down how many books they have read or how many minutes they read for. This year they can also add book reviews and rate their favourite read. Friends and family sponsor them by either pledging an amount per book read, the time they spend reading or by giving a donation.
3. Assist your child/children to fundraise – Asking your family and friends is a great way to start. They may even be able to help you think of ways to help raise money for people with MS.
