Years 7 and 8 Technology students had the opportunity to experience Wollongong University's facilities during an interactive STEAM day last week.
The students participated in 4 interactive STEAM workshops covering ideas such as artificial muscle production, eco packaging, population mathematics and coding technologies.
The day also included seeing some amazing emerging hollogram technology, with many of our students getting the chance to make their very own hologram with an interactive "hollow" lense.
The day had a focus on encouraging our female students to see STEAM based careers as a viable post-school option, and judging from their reactions to the workshops and presentations, this looks likely!
Mrs Meek and I would like to send out a huge congratulations to the students on their behavior throughout a very busy and complex day. Well done to all of you!
