Year 7 went to see a play;
alighting safely from the train,
as audience they sat amazed
and laughed to see the players move
with wit and grace upon the stage –
a worthier set they ne’er did see.
In question time, with actors ready
their eyes did shine, their courage steady,
with hands aloft, they made us proud
and thank our heavenly God above.
When Shakespeare’s plays this group doth greet
will all delight and learning meet!
