Nowra Show a success!

The annual Nowra Show went ahead this year despite the torrential rain, with students of all ages represented in entries from art-making to vegetable growing. NCS was well rewarded with many individual first and second prizes in the pavilion. It was thrilling for parents, staff, and students to walk around the cakes, flowers, drawings, and lego to find all of our winning entries! Special congratulations to our ribbon winners: Sophia W (8yrs and under Art - outstanding exhibit); William A (Junior Hard Craft - outstanding exhibit); and Mrs Stewart (Beauty in a Recycled Container - outstanding floral display). NCS was also proud to be announced as the winners of the "Garden in a Wheelbarrow" competition for our Oklahama! themed wheelbarrow. It turns out that Mrs Stewart really does know her way around an op-shop, and Mrs Arthur is justified when she says "more plants, more plants!". Mrs Federici donated flowers to enable our high school students to enter the floral competitions. We'd like to thank her for her time and efforts. The quality of the floral arrangements really spoke for themselves. A big thank you to all staff who collected, named, delivered and hung entries. It is a big job, but it is a wonderful opportunity to share our talents with the community and support the show society and the efforts they make for our agricultural community.
