NCS takes the stage

Members of our Primary Drama club and their Secondary directors, accompanied by our talented Secondary Drama class, took part in the Drama section of the Shoalhaven Eisteddfod last Thursday.

It required two buses to transport all the students; many of them nervous and excited and all dressed in costume. We had multiple groups entered in the Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 5.

Although it is exciting to report that NCS won each section, what is more exciting is the way our students conducted themselves and gave the best performances they had yet given. A very special mention needs to go to our Secondary directors who have given up their Wednesday lunchtimes for the last term and a bit to rehearse and prepare our Primary Drama Club casts. It is a big responsibility and these young people have done a fabulous job.

Congratulations also to all our performers. There is a lot of work involved in a performance - learning lines, rehearsing together, gathering costumes and props and encouraging each other. These young performers have shown commitment and courage to perform as they did. Well done!
