Metro Cup Netball

On Monday, 21 May, 22 students travelled to Bowral to represent our school playing netball. We had a fantastic day.

The seniors put in a great effort and worked very hard as a team. Our stage 3 students showed good Christian character and sportsmanship. They came in 5th over all.

The Juniors were outstanding in how they cared for each other as a team and shared the ball. They had a draw for their first game and they won 7-0 in their second game. They came in fourth over all.

We loved sharing the bus with the soccer boys on the way there. Four soccer captains prayed for our day before we set off. We are grateful to God for such a wonderful day out playing sport.

Metro Cup Football

On Monday, 21 May, 28 students travelled to Moss Vale to represent our school playing soccer. We had a fantastic day.

Our Stage 3 soccer team performed admirably, finishing third overall out of five teams. They were disappointed not to finish in the top two and progress to State level after leading 2-0 in their final game against the top placed team. Unfortunately, a bit of bad luck and a late rally from the competition leaders saw our senior team finish their final game with a 2-2 draw, narrowly missing a chance to progress to the next level of competition. At the end of the day, Jackson Croft received a best and fairest award for his fine efforts and good sportsmanship.

Our Stage 2 soccer team enjoyed a bit of good fortune, just sneaking into second place with their final game and qualifying for the State competition. Their first three games ended in a draw followed by an 8-0 victory to finish the day. The big margin in that final game proved to be the difference between second and third place with both teams finishing on the same competition points.

Congratulations to all players for competing with tremendous spirit, being such good sports and giving your best for the team. It was a pleasure to watch you play.
