Commemorating ANZAC Day

Each year, I am encouraged by the number of NCS families and members of staff who freely give of their time to represent our school in ANZAC Commemoration services within our local area. This year, we were represented by over 50 students, parents and staff members at the Greenwell Point Dawn Service and the Nowra March. It was wonderful to see so many showing their support for the men and women who gave so much in service of our great country and to honour those who continue to serve. It was a privilege to march alongside a number of our Defence parents this year. It was a fitting reminder that at NCS we have a large number of parents who are in the Defence Forces. Thank you to all those who represented NCS on the day; for braving the early hours at the dawn service and persisting through unseasonably hot conditions at the Nowra March. Also, a special thank you to Lachlan W, Tamsyn M, Nicholas H and Jonathan M for laying wreaths on behalf of the school.
