Secondary does a 360

Last week, the whole of Years 7 -10 attended a modernised circus at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.

The show was an incredible blend of beat-boxing, rapping, drumming, music, tumbling, trick cycling and freestyle basketball, break dancing and circus skills. For most of us, it was like nothing we had ever seen before. It was loud, energetic, interactive and so much fun!

The day before the performance, we were privileged to have some of the performers come and run workshops. A large group of students took part in these workshops, learning to break dance, basketball freestyle and do circus balancing and other skills. If nothing else, we learned a new appreciation of how hard some of these skills are to acquire.

And then part of the pleasure of the show the next day was watching these performers, whom we had met, do their magic on stage.

What a blessing to be able to share in these kinds of unique experiences as a secondary school!

A special thank you to all the students for the way in which they conducted themselves throughout, including how they enjoyed and responded to the show itself.
