Yrs 3-6 Students Make a Splash @ Primary Zone Swimming

Monday, 25 February was a picture-postcard perfect day for our Primary Zone Swimming Carnival, held at Nowra Aquatic Centre.

32 of our most excellent swimmers from Years 3-6 represented their school in multiple races across the day. A few personal best times were recorded by some students in various events. Other students filled in for missing personnel on the day to gain points for our school team.

Much 'fun in the sun' was had by all. Our tent area was filled with the heady aroma of sunscreen and hot chips! Parents, friends and carers were there to lend support and some were even drafted in as helpers. Thanks especially go to 'Swimming Mums' - Cheree Miles and Cindie Pearce, who were our very able NCS Team Managers on the day. They kept everyone motivated and ensured that children made their races on time. THANKS to you both!

NCS finished the day in 3rd place overall, a great result given that we were competing against five other schools.

Seventeen of our school's team members finished in the top 3 for their individual or relay team events at zone and therefore advance to the CSSA Primary State Swimming Carnival in Blacktown on Monday, 11 March. Congratulations to them. We look forward to hearing all about your exciting day out in Sydney's west.
