Hotchin Cures the Drought

One year had passed since Nicholas H had last hit the back of the net. The State Futsal Competition began as the crowd anxiously waited for their hero to strike again. In the first two games, the Hot-Chinned Hawk decided that it was not yet time to grace the crowd with a legendary goal. The Hawk crunches on his green apple prior to the third match, it was time. He knew it was time. The third game kicked off. The crowd were ready, as was Nic. The game was stuck at a 3-3 stalemate; the stage was set for a legend to be made. The Hot-Chinned Hawk approached the opportunity and one foot from the goal, he crushed the ball with the outside of his foot as the net braced for an impact it had not felt for much too long. The crowd roared after their hero struck an absolute worldie past the goalkeeper to clinch the game 4-3. The Hawk, after several moments of screaming, was extremely heroically modest after breaking the drought. “So Nic, how does it feel to be back on the scoring sheet again?” the interviewer asked while eagerly wanting an autograph.

“Well I must say that I am very happy with the boys' performance today. I am also very happy with my wonder strike you just viewed before. A successful day in the office.” the Hawk responded. A legend was made on this day. The crowd got what they wanted, a piece of absolute genius from Nicholas H. Also, the team lost 3/4 games, brilliant performances from Aaron T in goal and Joey E creating chaos on the field, Ryan R scored 5, Jackson T scored 2, Kye I scored 3, Ryan D scored 1 and Mr Clarke struck 2 goals between the sticks in AFL this season. Great achievements from the boys of NCS but all these overshadowed by the sheer brilliance of Nicholas H
