Macbeth at NCS

Last Tuesday, Year 10 students were treated to a visit from the Bell Shakespeare Company who performed “Macbeth: The Rehearsal”.

This was a one hour show taking key scenes from the play and exploring different ways of approaching the language and characters in each scene. It was an excellent way to engage with Shakespeare’s ideas, and gain an understanding of the whole play.

We really enjoyed peeking through this little window to see how the actors go about their work.

We were also glad to be able to welcome students and teachers from Nowra Anglican College who joined us. We were delighted to see one of the teachers from NAC murdered on stage, in the role of King Duncan, and to see their students play convincing roles as some of the witches in the play.

We were privileged to have Ann Sudmalis, the Federal Member for Gilmore, come to watch the performance with us.
