UOW Discovery Day

On Friday, 9 February the University of Wollongong generously provided NCS with a bus to take 10 Year 12 students to Discovery Day. Discovery Day is an opportunity for HSC students to experience life on a university campus and participate in a selection of university tutorials, workshops and lectures.

Our students had to register for Discovery Day in 2017 and, just like true university students, they selected a pattern of study that suited their interests. On the day, all 1,200 students present crammed into the main lecture hall for an engaging and comical keynote address before going their separate ways into their chosen streams of study.

Many of our students left the day feeling excited about their future study aspirations while others left feeling uplifted by the day and enabled to look to other universities for their future study plans.
