Defence family fun!

As the end of another year comes to a close, we have much to celebrate. This was certainly the feeling at the Defence family Christmas party last Friday.

The celebrations began with afternoon tea and gingerbread decorating, but the highlight of the afternoon was, without a doubt, the slip ‘n slide. With the help of some of our ingenious dads, a few older students, and in particular Mick ‘Mr Fix-it’ Finlay, kids were towed, slid and slipped to their heart’s content.

It was the perfect way to spend a hot afternoon. Thank you to the 22 families who were represented at the party and all those who helped out on the day. A special mention goes to Mrs Burge who joined in the fun and braved the slide.
