Goals galore at State Futsal

On Friday 15 September, Josh Attwood, Jonty Beavan, Jaya Brown, Joey Ellery, Nic Hotchin, Kye Irwin, Micah Perry, Ryan Rigg and Aaron Tasker headed to Penrith for the State Futsal Competition.

With little or no Futsal experience, the boys were excited to be involved in a new variation of the outdoor game. They played well, but were outclassed in most of their games, losing the first few games 9-2, 9-2, 6-0 and 3-0.

Then in the 5th match, the boys pulled out all the stops, and managed to draw 5-5, only conceding in the dying stages of the second half. The last match of the day saw the boys finally notch up a 7-2 win.

Thanks to a penalty in the last match, everyone who participated came away with a goal.

We are looking forward to developing a stronger team for next year. Well done boys.
