Primary Chess Competition

On Thursday 3 August eight students from years 3-6 traveled to Illaroo Road Public School to compete in a Chess competition. Other visiting teams included Culburra, Vincentia and Gerringong.

Our students showed tremendous focus and concentration over many hours of highly strategic play. Our Championship team came 5th out of seven teams and our Rookie team finished 4th. Both teams said they enjoyed meeting new people and having a whole day to practice and enjoy the game of Chess.

Well done to Emily Bryan, Eamon Softley, Micah Proctor, Abigail Heard, Harvey Ward, Micah Edwards, Hamish MacLaren and Azriel McMillan who all represented our school so well.
