Illawarra Careers Expo 2017

May 8, 2017

On Tuesday 9 May, students from Years 10, 11 and 12 traveled to Unanderra Basketball Stadium to attend the 2017 Illawarra Careers Expo. The expo hosted a large variety of stalls from universities, TAFE, private colleges and other employment agencies.

Throughout the session, our students moved around the stadium speaking to stall holders and furthering their post-school plan and opportunities. Here is what some of our students had to say:

'More careers are possible now, and my ideas of future work increased tenfold. I've even considered starting a stationery company.'

-Michael Beavan

'Today I learnt a lot about possible careers I may be able to pursue and universities I could attend.  I was flooded with options. I found it to be a great day and I was very well informed with all the books and information given to us.'

-Jacob Selbie Thompson

'I learnt about different music career options and I learnt more about business management. People were really nice and helpful. It was fun and worth the time.'

- Jacob Lawrence
