NCS Prime Movers at Relay for Life

On Saturday 25 March our NCS Prime Movers Team of 28 students, 4 teachers and many keen parents hit the Nowra Showground for a 10 hour long walk / run fest!

The weather meant we walked under leaden skies and a smattering of rain, but that didn't dampen our resolve nor our fervour! We were there to put the FUN into FUNdraising! There were great stalls selling or giving away lots of goodies, entertainment aplenty from dancing to bands, as well as lots of food and beverage outlets to keep us 'fueled up' during the long hours. Thanks to the following students who were part of this amazing team effort: Amelia L, Thomas B, Abi W, Aleah G, Corinne C, Kayleigh W, Dylan W, Cody W, Charlie G, Noah S, Gabby A, Jacob F, Cooper C, Julia M, Azriel M, Lilly D, Charlotte B, Luke B, Ollie E, Eloise R, Chloe G, Hamish M, Darien M, Hannah S, Tobias H, Matt M, Lili M and Cohen S.

As I write this, the total funds raised online stands at $3362.01. There are many hundreds of dollars still yet to be counted in cash donations that the students have brought into the office. Added to all of that, we plan to wash NCS staff vehicles next Thursday for donations, which should raise another few hundred dollars. So we are on course to raise close to $4000 for Australian Cancer Council. This is quite an incredible effort from this year's team. The way each of them have embraced the concept of helping others and expecting nothing in return, is truly humbling. Their service to our wider Shoalhaven community is inspirational. Well done, Stage 3!
