SECONDARY STAFF

Mrs Evelyn Meek

Head of Secondary

I was born in Malaysia, studied in Canada and came to Australia to complete my tertiary qualifications. I started teaching at NCS in 1999, then moved to Illawarra Christian School, where I served for a period as Head of Mathematics and several other departments. In 2016 God brought me full-circle back to NCS as Head of Secondary. I’m married to Matt with 2 near-teenage kids. We live in Wollongong, where I serve at Wollongong Baptist and commute daily to Nowra. I enjoy cooking, Gilmore Girls, West Wing, having friends over, but most of all desiring to love and serve the staff, students, parents, carers and community that God has placed me in for His glory and seeing them grow mature in Christ for His glory.

Mrs Michele Dallimore

Secondary Coordinator

I commenced work at NCS in 1985. My main emphasis has been teaching Secondary PDHPE courses from Years 7 to 12 and more recently, Senior Community and Family Studies. In my role as a Co-ordinator, I have enjoyed the varied responsibilities and challenges it has bought. I have had to rely more on God's grace, strength and wisdom to deal with many different situations that come my way. I had a wonderful opportunity to teach at an overseas Missions School in India during 2004 and we were able to take a small group of students back to India on a Missions Awareness trip at the end of 2007.

Mrs Catriona Thompson

Head of Teaching and Learning

I started to teach English at NCS in 2001. After graduating, I worked in the state system at Corowa High School.I resigned to study at Sydney Missionary and Bible College for one year and after that spent time at home caring for our two children. I enjoy teaching English and believe the skills learnt, especially those involving communication, are essential for student to develop. I consider it a privilege to teach in a Christian school. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to consider a Christian response to issues raised in the texts we study.
