Last Monday, Years 4 to 7 were privileged to see the Bell Shakespeare company in an energetic and entertaining performance in the church hall.
The show was designed to introduce Shakespeare novices to the comedy, tragedy and romance of Shakespeare, not to mention the cool death scenes! The 3 experienced performers brought to life the language (poetic pentameter) and action of many different plays, grouping their performance into acts based on the common themes in Shakespearean plays: the language, comedy, romance, tragedy and deaths. We enjoyed the actors' swordsmanship, humour and fast-paced action. We only wished they could have stayed for longer and performed their other plays. Thank you all for being a great audience and asking lots of good questions.
