It is important that we continue to be vigilant in ensuring that staff and students do not attend school or work if they are unwell.

  • Students absent or sent home due to flu-like symptoms need to be tested for COVID-19.

  • Staff and students must not return to school or work until they receive a negative COVID-19 result and are symptom-free.

  • Staff and students who have had a COVID-19 test must complete the COVID-19 Test Register before returning to school. This form...

We are now very close to completion of the entire complex. Most of the internal joinery, painting and floorcoverings have now been completed. The exterior of the building is looking very smart and this is further accentuated as a result of the laying of a large area of turf lawn that has responded enthusiastically to our recent rainy weather.

But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.  Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12: 24(b)- 27 (NIV)

Term 3 is now well underway and I am pleased to report that our...

The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand y...

‘He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.’ Micah 6:8 (NIV)

Term 2 at NCS came to a conclusion today (Friday, 26 June) and I have little doubt that it will be a term that all members of our school community will remember for years to come! During the past nine weeks, we have all been taken on a ‘journey’ that we certainly would never have contemplated when the 2020 school y...

Dear Parents/Carers,

As I am writing this letter, there are two days of Term 2 still remaining before your children commence a three week holiday break. (Of course, all staff will participate in our one week July Staff Conference during the third week of the break.) And what an amazing term it has been! In fact, the 2020 year thus far has seen our school community (and our entire global community) navigating our way through what can only be described as extraordinary times.

‘Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.’ 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

When I wrote my last NCS Bytes article, we had just completed our first week with all students from K-12 having returned to school to engage in on-site teacher directed lessons. I am pleased to say that, after two further weeks, we appear to have settled back into a well organised school routine. Certainly, as I have moved around our school site this week, I have been able to visit numerous classrooms w...

‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’ Hebrews 13:5(b) (NIV)

Well, it is actually three weeks since I wrote my last Bytes article and a great deal has happened in the world of education since that time. On that previous occasion, we had just completed Week 2 of this term and most students were still working off-site, participating in an online lesson delivery program. However, our HSC students had just returned to school to complete a three day week. I wrote a l...

Dear Parents/Carers

It has been wonderful to see our students return to school this week. Many seem very happy to see their classmates and have returned with an eagerness to continue their learning. The transition back to full-time face-to-face learning has been relatively smooth. However, there has been some confusion over uniform requirements as we move into the colder months. I would like to clarify a few things:

Our uniform is now an all-year-round uniform

There is no longer...

Dear Parents and Carers,

In my letter, written to all parents and carers last week, I indicated that we had received communication from the NSW Premier in relation to a proposed full-time return to school for all Government School children as of Monday, 25 May. After careful consideration, I also conveyed the news that Nowra Christian School planned to make all necessary arrangements for the return of all of our students on this same date. In many ways, this development coul...
