Dear Parents/Carers

It has been wonderful to see our students return to school this week. Many seem very happy to see their classmates and have returned with an eagerness to continue their learning. The transition back to full-time face-to-face learning has been relatively smooth. However, there has been some confusion over uniform requirements as we move into the colder months. I would like to clarify a few things:

Dear Parents and Carers,

In my letter, written to all parents and carers last week, I indicated that we had received communication from the NSW Premier in relation to a proposed full-time return to school for all Government School children as of Monday, 25 May. After careful consideration, I also conveyed the news that Nowra Christian School planned to make all necessary arrangements for the return of all of our students on t...

Dear Parents/Carers,

As most of you would now be aware, the NSW Premier announced on Monday that all NSW Government Schools have been informed that they are to make the necessary arrangements for the return of all students to an onsite lesson delivery mode as of Monday of next week (i.e. 25 May). Although some may have been surprised that all students would be returning this early, the NSW Premier and educational authorities h...

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is now almost two weeks since I wrote my last letter, outlining the first two phases of our NCS return to school timetable. Once again, I would wish to convey the gratitude of our entire staff team for the manner in which you have continued to provide your support and encouragement as we have embarked on the careful process of gradually transitioning back to an onsite learning model. My previous letter...

Dear Parents/Carers,

We thank you for your support and patience over the past couple of days while we have had the school closed.

As you know, this was for precautionary measures so a staff member could seek COVID-19 testing. We are very pleased, and thankful to God, to report that this staff member has now been given the all clear, following COVID-19 testing. As a result, we are also very pleased to announce that we will be r...

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing to inform you that Nowra Christian School will transition entirely to remote learning from tomorrow, Wednesday 1 April. This is necessary while a staff member seeks testing for COVID-19, following their contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 outside of our school community.

The school has sought advice from NSW Health and, although they did not mandate a closure, the School Board and Leaders...

We are pleased to announce that girls shorts (K-12) will be added to the NCS uniform in 2020.

Primary girls will wear them with the short sleeve red polo. Years 7-12 girls will wear them with their current tops.
